Ken is the Non- Executive Chairman of VOL . Ken is a Director of two other quoted companies, Falcon Investment Trust and The East German Investment Trust. Ken is a Director of The German British Chamber of Industry and Commerce and a Director of several private family companies.
Ken was formerly Chairman of Avingtrans plc and Ferraris Group plc and has been involved in the management and direction of various engineering and technology companies for most of his business life.

 

As Managing Director of LOE, John leads the VOL Research and Development programme. John divides his time between LOE and the Wolfson School of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University, where he is professor of Optical Instrumentation and a part of the University's Optical Engineering Group. He is a leading specialist in the application laser technology.

John has been heavily involved in the development of vehicle occupancy detection technology since the start of the HOVMON project in 1998. John runs Photonics Consultancy which is focused on the commercial aspects of optical systems including spatial light modulators and optical correlators.
